Silver Saber Exercise

26 Oct. - Silver Saber, a training exercise in Crowd, Riot and Control has been conducted by KFOR units, from 16th to 18th Oct in Camp Vrelo, a Kosovo Police training site near Pristina airport.

Change of Command of Joint Regional Detachment Center

13 Oct. - “On the 13th of October 1923 Ankara replaced Istanbul as the capital of Turkey and on the same day in 1716 the Hungarian Emperor Karel VI`s troops occupy Temesvar”. With regard to these important events of the past, Major General Halbauer underlined the importance of the change of command ceremony of JRD-C.

TOA of KTM

06 Oct. - On September 26th, 2012 the Transfer of Authority (TOA) Ceremony and the KTM (KFOR Tactical Reserve Manoeuvre Battalion) Change of Command took place in Camp Slim Lines.

SWISSCOY: Change of Command and an anniversary

05 Oct. - The new SWISSCOY contingent enters service to a new location in Kosovo. After this Change of Command from the 26th to the 27th contingent the new incoming soldiers took over their role at the new sites, which have been established after the evacuation of the legendary Camp Casablanca.

International Medal Parade

04 Oct. - Many soldiers were honoured today for their faithful service in the KFOR Mission and also COMKFOR, Major General Volker HALBAUER bade them farewell.

Change of ORF-Battalion in Camp Novo Selo

29 Sep. - For the upcoming month the German and Austrian soldier of the new ORF Battalion will once more work together in the north of Kosovo. COMKFOR Major General Volker HALBAUER handed the NATO flag to the ORF Battalion from the outgoing Italian Colonel Alfonso CORNACCHIA to the incoming German Commander Lieutenant Colonel Ralf SCHIPKE.
